BEAUTIFUL STRENGTH founder and photographer, Annette McNamara was often asked by clients to fix, edit and change how they looked in their photos. Seeing people struggle with their self-image and worth, Annette decided she wanted to do something to promote diversity, inclusion, acceptance, and celebrate being your authentic self.
BEAUTIFUL STRENGTH was born out of the need to accept ourselves for who we are and to celebrate our diversity. No Negativity. No Criticizing. Subjects use their own words in their own handwriting to tell their story.
BEAUTIFUL STRENGTH is an on-going photo project that includes different, unique portraits. Portrait stories have included topics like HIV, Black Lives Matter, Cancer Survival, Autism, Diversity, and Body Positivity.
